Job Description
You will be responsible for identifying and developing new business with End users and Consultants who require a Fire and Security Systems. You will have Systems Sales experience, ideally in all aspects of CCTV, Intruder, Access Control and Fire. You will have a history of achieving targets of at least £500,000, with a combination of large and small contracts, as well as being able to generate new business sales from leads (not the yellow pages) and have previous experience of bringing in projects for your past companies.

• Work with Branch Managers/Branch Sales Executives to develop and convert leads to delivered, profitable business
• Ensure optimum cross selling activity
• Ensure cost effective use of time through call planning and objective setting
• Ensure the client is given the highest possible level of customer service
• Provide reliable sales forecasts to the Sales Manager on a weekly basis
• Report on competitor activities
• Accurately complete the necessary documentation regarding any spec/design in accordance with the required standards and codes of practice
• Ensure documentation is submitted to the relevant branch installation personnel in a timely fashion
• Design specifications to BS5839 Fire Alarm Standards and Security Systems with En50131-1 Approved Codes of Practice.

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• A high level of experience in the industry (ideally with experience of running a service team).
• A good technical knowledge of all systems, ideally being able to demonstrate a practical understanding of all elements of the system.
• A good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
• The ability to communicate at all levels, with both clients and colleagues.
• Will be able to manage and liase throughout all levels of the business.
• Will ideally have knowledge of project management.
• The ability to problem solve.
• The ability to recognise opportunities and to develop them.
• Will have knowledge of software based reporting and management systems.
• Will understand financial aspects of the business and will be able to report on revenue streams and associated financial criteria.
• Will understand Key Performance Indicators and will work within agreed targets.
• Will be able to work to tight deadlines and deliver within targeted time frames.
• Will be flexible and versatile and will clearly understand the role.
• Will be able to develop a strategy for future growth.
• Will be able to develop and implement business plans for improvement.

The ideal candidate will therefore be somebody who has been in the industry for a number of years, essentially with an understanding of the service side of the business and preferably with management experience in this area.

They will be a dynamic individual with a desire for success and with the enthusiasm to take on an exciting and challenging role within an organisation with similar qualities and goals.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the flexibility and versatility which will be essential in this role to afford operation through all levels of the business, with the ability to manage the day to day operations of a busy environment, through to providing reports to the senior management team.

The role will include management of a service team, across a wide and diverse customer base, dealing with client issues and site visits, providing technical reports and quotations, technical support and design and monitoring of all aspects of the operations, including financial.

The relevant candidate will have an enthusiasm for the role, with a drive for progression.

They will in turn play a major role in the future development of the business and their input and feedback into the organisation will be an integral part of the organisation’s plans for taking the business forward.
